I imagine making wire spirals is quite fiddly work – I recently did some sewing and stitching on a regional train, and that was quite challenging, because threading the needle on a rattling carriage was nearly impossible. It’s definitely easier on a high speed train, but not on a Pendolino (that train sways!)

Great post Purls. Love your expression UFOs : unfinished objects or something like that??? I thought my sister was mad, knitting on the bus in Spain where she lives…but now I understand it. I’m guilty of making wire spirals and hook clasps on trains and even the ferry to France.

Thanks for posting Purls. Reminds me of the carnival I attended one February in Denia/Pego, Alicante back when I lived in Spain. Amazing costumes; tho my cat costume was a little home-madey, halloweeny looking compared to the Venetian-styled ones worn by the locals….
